Canadian Pure CHAGA

Chaga chunks with powder and Chaga Tincture

Chaga: "Inonotus obliquus" is a fungus which grows on live birch trees.

We harvest our Chaga sustainably in the wild boreal forest of Northwestern Ontario.

Chaga is a complex source of nutrition linked to many health benefits. The Chaga mushroom is renowned for its high levels of antioxidants, beta glucans, phytonutrients, polysaccharides, minerals and vitamins and much more. Chaga mushrooms also absorb a unique and beneficial compound from it’s birch tree host, called betulinic acid. Betulinic acid, a triterpenoid, believed to have potent anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral properties. Chaga's melanin content can enhance the health of your skin.

CANADIAN PURE

CHAGA TINCTURE

Chaga tincture. A tincture is an alcoholic derivative of a plant, mushroom or herb. Tinctures are more effective in extracting the medicinal components and preserving them for longer periods of time. Tinctures are also useful because they're simple to use, quickly absorbed, and easily added to recipes, drinks, etc. A tincture uses an alcohol extraction method. We use a 50-75%  rum. This method extracts some of the water-insoluble components, such as betulinic acid, and phytosterols that the hot water extraction alone cannot do. This extraction process takes months to complete.

Suggested Use for Chaga Tincture: Take 2-5 drops to start for a week or so and then slowly increase to 5-10 drops - in any hot or cold drink, 1-3 x per day if desired. Shake well before use.  You may use in addition to Chaga tea.

Chaga tincture contains Alcohol. Keep out of reach of children.
